Privacy statement

We work with personal data of people who apply to us and who work through us. Below you can read what we keep, why, and what you can do about it.

01

Who is responsible for your data

Master Uitzendgroep is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this statement. You can reach us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

We process data of three groups: candidates and temporary workers, contacts at client companies, and visitors to this website.

02

What data we process

From candidates and workers we process: name, address, date and place of birth, nationality, phone number, email address, the language you speak, your work experience and availability, and details about transport.

Once you start working for us we also process what we legally need in order to employ and pay you: your citizen service number (BSN), a copy of your identity document, your residence and work permit where applicable, your bank account number, your payroll tax credit choice, your hours worked, your contract and your payslips.

The BSN and the copy of your identity document are special category data. We only ask for them because the law obliges us to as an employer, and we use them for nothing else.

From client contacts we process name, job title, business phone number and business email address.

From website visitors we process only what is needed to run and secure the site. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

03

Why we use your data

To place you in work and contact you about suitable assignments. Basis: your consent when applying, and afterwards performance of the agreement with you.

To employ you, process your hours and pay your wages. Basis: performance of your employment contract.

To meet legal obligations such as identity verification, payroll tax filing and statutory retention periods. Basis: legal obligation.

To demonstrate to our clients that we meet our obligations as a supplier of labour. Basis: legitimate interest and legal obligation.

04

Who we share your data with

With the company where you work, as far as needed for your placement and for approving hours. We share no more than necessary; we do not share your BSN with them.

With the Tax Administration, the UWV and pension providers, as far as law or the collective agreement requires.

With service providers who support us, such as our payroll administration, our accountant and our software suppliers. We have data processing agreements with them.

We never sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

05

How long we keep your data

If you applied but no work followed, we keep your application data for a maximum of four weeks after closing, or up to one year if you consent to that.

If you worked for us, we keep your payroll and identity data for as long as tax law prescribes: in principle five years after the end of your employment. Data we are not required to keep is deleted sooner.

06

How we protect your data

Your data is held in a secured environment. Only staff who need it for their work can access it, and we record who viewed or changed what.

Sensitive data such as your BSN and the copy of your identity document is stored encrypted and is not visible in ordinary lists or exports.

07

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy. You may have incorrect data corrected.

You may request deletion of data we are not legally required to keep, and object to certain processing. If you gave consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Send your request to the email address at the bottom of this page. We respond within one month. To be sure it is you, we may ask you to identify yourself.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

08

Cookies

This website only uses cookies needed to make the site work, such as remembering your language choice and securing forms. No consent is required for those.

We use no tracking cookies and share no data with advertising networks.
